Brbinj spans over two picturesque bays that go under the names of Gap and Lu ina and are ideal docking areas. The settlement is populated with 160 people who primarily engage in farming and fishing, so here you can find healthy local food and fresh fish. The settlement is surrounded by pine trees and olive groves, and since accommodation is available only in suites and rooms, and there are no hotels. In the village there is a ferry port for motor vehicles, and a post office. Southwest of the town lies Brbinjscica bay, surrounded by mighty cliffs and numerous caves and this bay is one of the safest docking areas on the island. Brbinj has an 800 years history, and part of its cultural heritage are the glagolitics who stayed and worked in the settlement throughout the history and were the guardians and promoters of Croatian literacy in these areas.
