Luka is a village in the central part of the island. The nearest town is Zman (southeast) and Savar (north-west). The village has about 110 inhabitants. The harbour is dominated by a promenade that dates back to the 14th century. The bay Zlatna Vala, next to the settlement, which apart from the crystal clear waters and gentle nature, provides a safe harbour for all yachtsmen and sailors complements this summer resort. Above the settlement spans the islands highest hill, 338 m high "Vela Straza" , while in the nearby bay "Boka" you can find mud that has a completely natural relaxing effect. The coves and beaches in the vicinity are suitable for children, and unspoiled nature and clear sea make the port an attractive destination for a family vacation. Because of fishing Luka has magnificent traditional cuisine based on fresh fish and other delicacies which you can find in the local pubs and restaurants. Tourism is also developed and offers accommodation in private rooms and apartments. The traditional feast is held 2nd to 3rd August each year, and offers a wealth of seafood with famous Dalmatian wines and music of famous Croatian pop artists.
